By accessing or using AddYourNote (“the service”), you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Disclaimer. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

AddYourNote is a shared, public canvas made of boards. Anyone can read the wall without an account. To author notes under a verified signature, you sign in with a magic link sent to your email. Notes you publish appear publicly and can be positioned on the canvas; some boards allow notes to be moved by others.

• Public boards — shared spaces visible to everyone, potentially indexed by search engines.
• User-generated content — notes are created by users, not by us.
• Editing permissions — you may edit or delete notes you authored under your signature, subject to moderation.

A signature is a name used to author notes. Claiming a signature or handle does not grant trademark or other rights in that name; it simply links public authorship to your verified account. You may not claim a signature or handle to impersonate a person or organization, to mislead others, or in bad faith. We may reclaim or reassign handles that violate these terms, infringe rights, or remain inactive.

You retain ownership of the notes you create. To operate the service, you grant AddYourNote a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute your notes in connection with running and promoting the public wall. This license exists so we can show your public notes to others; it ends for new displays when you delete a note, though public copies may persist in caches or backups for a period.

You represent that you have the right to post what you publish and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.

• Account security — keep access to your email secure, since magic links are sent there. Tell us about any unauthorized use.
• Accuracy — provide truthful account information and do not impersonate others.
• Lawful use — use the service in compliance with applicable laws.
• Your content — you are responsible for what you publish and where you place it.

You agree not to use AddYourNote to post or engage in:

• Harassment, threats, or targeted abuse
• Hate speech or content inciting violence
• Illegal content or activity
• Spam, scams, or deceptive promotion
• Impersonation of people or organizations
• Malicious links, malware, or phishing
• Content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights
• Attempts to break, overload, scrape, or circumvent the service or its security

The AddYourNote name, branding, design, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks or to copy the platform itself. Rights in user content remain with the users who created it.

To keep the wall open and safe, we may review, hide, edit, or remove notes, and we may warn, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these terms or our guidelines. Where practical we act proportionately, but we may act immediately to address serious harm, illegal content, or risks to the service or its users.

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AddYourNote and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for content posted by users, loss of data, or loss of profits arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, make a reasonable effort to notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
