Truly breaking me apart

I will always carry this loss with me. It is truly breaking me apart. I do not think words can explain the depth of the sorrow I feel. It goes beyond my body and beyond my mind. It feels like something that has reached into my soul. This is not just pain that will simply pass or disappear with time. Something inside me has changed forever, and I know a part of me will always carry what I lost.
